Nutrition and healthy eating
Reading ingredients, understanding a balanced meal, and making informed food choices that last.

Independence and confidence
Cooking builds self-reliance, problem-solving and the pride of making something with your own hands.
Curriculum-linked skills

Teamwork
Group cooking builds communication, delegation and collaboration in a low-pressure setting.
Taught by professionals
Every session is led by trained, vetted chefs experienced in teaching children of all ages.

Why Petits Chefs

What sets us apart

We are not a catering company running activities on the side. Culinary education for schools is our specialism, and we deliver it with care and consistency.

Real chefs

Every session is led by a professional chef, not a teaching assistant or activity leader. Your students get technique, expertise and genuine passion at the counter with them.

Clearly coordinated

We work closely with your team from day one. Facility requirements, session logistics, ingredient agreements and scheduling are confirmed in advance, so nothing is left to chance.

Ingredients included

Agreed ingredients and materials come as part of the programme. Kitchen access, tables and water points are confirmed with your team before the first session.

Curriculum-linked

Programmes support learning across STEAM, PSHE and life skills — meaningful enrichment rather than an extracurricular add-on.

Fully compliant

Dubai Municipality compliant, KHDA registered and fully insured. Documentation is ready for your leadership team without anyone having to chase it.

Flexible

We work around your timetable, not the other way around — weekly sessions, a one-off enrichment day, or a term-long programme.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Where are sessions delivered?

Sessions can take place at your school or at our Petits Chefs Cooking Institute. We agree the most practical setup for your timetable and facility with your team.

How long is a typical session?

Ninety minutes. That gives students time to learn a technique, cook a recipe from scratch, and enjoy what they have made without feeling rushed.

What age groups do you work with?

Children aged 4 to 14. Lesson plans are adapted by year group — younger students work on simple, safe techniques with plenty of sensory exploration, older students take on more complex recipes and kitchen skills.

How many students can you accommodate?

Up to 50 students per session. For larger groups we arrange rotations or additional chef coverage — tell us your numbers and we will plan accordingly.

What ingredients and equipment do you provide?

Agreed ingredients and materials are included in the programme. Facility requirements such as kitchen access, tables and water points are confirmed with your school in advance.

Are programmes curriculum-linked?

Yes. Programmes support learning across STEAM, PSHE and life skills. We align session content with your curriculum goals and share learning outcomes with your team.

Can cooking count as a CCA or ECA?

Yes. Our enrichment programmes are structured to qualify as a curricular, co-curricular or extra-curricular activity depending on your school's classification, and we provide supporting documentation.

Can you cater for Students of Determination?

Yes. Our chefs are experienced in adapting sessions for students with additional learning needs. Share the relevant information ahead of the programme and we will make sure every student can take part fully and safely.

How do you handle allergies?

We collect full dietary and allergy information from your school before any programme begins, and adapt every recipe accordingly. No child is excluded, and food safety is part of every session.

What are your safety and hygiene standards?

All sessions follow Dubai Municipality food hygiene standards. Our chefs are trained in child safeguarding and food safety, and we are KHDA registered.

Are you insured?

Yes, we carry full public liability insurance. Copies of our insurance and compliance documents are available on request for your school's records.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on format, number of students, frequency and delivery location. Get in touch and we will put together a proposal tailored to your school.
