The Curriculum

What Students Learn

Every session is hands-on from the first minute, covering a curriculum that goes far beyond following a recipe.

🔪
Kitchen Safety

Age-appropriate use of kitchen tools, hygiene habits, and safe handling of equipment — the foundations every young chef needs.

🥐
Cooking & Baking

From bread and pastry to savoury dishes — students cook real food from scratch with professional techniques.

🥗
Nutrition & Healthy Eating

Students learn to read ingredients, understand balanced meals, and make informed food choices — building lifelong healthy habits.

Cultural & Language Learning

Culinary sessions delivered in Arabic, French, or English connect food to culture, language, and the wider world.

🌱
Independence & Confidence

Cooking builds self-reliance, problem-solving, and the pride that comes from creating something with your own hands.

Programmes are designed to reinforce STEAM, PSHE, and life skills goals — supporting what students are already learning in the classroom.

Led by Professionals

All sessions are led by trained, vetted chefs with experience teaching children of all ages.

Why Petits Chefs

What Sets Us Apart

We're not a catering company running activities on the side. Culinary education for schools is our specialism — and we deliver it with care and consistency.

Real Chefs
Every session is led by a professional chef — not a teaching assistant or activity leader. Your students get the real thing: technique, passion, and expertise at their workstation.
Clearly Coordinated
We work closely with your team from day one. Facility requirements, session logistics, ingredient agreements, and scheduling are confirmed in advance — so every delivery runs smoothly and nothing is left to chance.
Ingredients & Agreed Materials Included
Agreed ingredients and materials are included as part of the programme. Facility requirements — kitchen access, tables, water points — are confirmed with your team ahead of the first session so everyone is prepared.
Curriculum-Linked
Programmes are designed to support learning across STEAM, PSHE, and life skills — not just as an extracurricular add-on but as a meaningful enrichment activity.
Fully Compliant
Dubai Municipality compliant, KHDA registered, fully insured — all the compliance credentials your leadership team needs, without having to chase them.
Flexible
We work around your timetable, not the other way around. Whether it's weekly sessions, a one-off enrichment day, or a term-long programme — we adapt to fit.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Sessions can take place at your school or at our Petits Chefs Culinary Institute. We work with your team to agree the most practical setup for your timetable and facility.

We offer Enrichment Programmes (weekly or term-based), Single-Day Workshops, Curriculum & Language Programmes (in Arabic, French, or English), and School Partnership Programmes at Silver and Level 2 Platinum levels.

Our standard sessions are 90 minutes. This gives students enough time to learn a technique, cook a recipe from scratch, and enjoy what they've made — without feeling rushed.

We work with children aged 4 to 14. Lesson plans are adapted by age group — younger students focus on simple, safe techniques with lots of sensory exploration, while older students tackle more complex recipes and kitchen skills.

We can accommodate up to 50 students per session. For larger groups, we can arrange rotations or additional chef coverage — just let us know your numbers and we'll plan accordingly.

Agreed ingredients and materials are included as part of the programme. Facility requirements — such as kitchen access, tables, and water points — are confirmed with your school in advance so everything runs smoothly on the day.
